The Jennie Wade Riverboat is a replica of the flat bottom boats that traveled the inland waterways of the mid 1800's. Visitors to the center see visuals showing the area's history and attractions. Some of the center's historical photos tell the stories of the river people of Chilo.
What a Day!
The Friends of Jennie Wade helped to organize the Lock and Dam Sightseeing Cruises on June 28th on the wonderful Mark Twain, a BB Riverboat sternwheeler. The cruises, three sightseeing and one dinner cruise, shipped out from the new landing at the Chilo Park. The event was a huge success and we hope to repeat in the future.
